Beasts and dolls

The first animal that greets you when you step in the door at Bankeråt, is a bear in a waiters dress. All of Bankeråt is populated by beasts in every aspect, dressed in human clothing and acting against their nature. They overtake our roles and actions. The badger in its leather jacket is frozen solid, dancing, with his radio attached to his ear.

Beast life

The artist making the beasts is Filip Jensen, who has been sculpturing since 1987. He created his first sculpture by a coincidence. “At a second-hand dealer I noticed the head of a deer with broken antlers and when I later spotted the body of a mannequin doll, I imaginably assembled these two parts”. Since then, Filip has been working on giving creatures their lives back and locating clothing that match their personality.
